Glebe Park Residences has been wired by NBN for fibre-to-the-premises. Most units have the NBN connection box fitted inside their apartments. For those units where access was not available the fibre has been wired to just outside the unit. Owners are still able to order a nbn® FTTP service with an internet service provider and when an FTTP internet service is chosen from one of the many service providers, a technician will attend the site to install the connection box in the apartment as part of the service connection at no additional cost for owners, as the OC has already paid for an FTTP for each unit.

 

Residents are responsible for organising their own land line telephone and internet connections. Generally, this will require the service provider to visit both the resident's premises and the communications room located on the first floor.

When scheduling a visit by the service provider's technician, please note the Building Manager's hours of work, as he will need to be contacted to arrange entry into the secure communications room so that the technician can access the Main Distribution Framework (MDF).

Additionally, the technician will need to locate the NBN connection box  or Internal Distribution Frame (IDF) within the apartment. These are small white or grey boxes normally located near the electrical circuit breaker panel or the gas metering device.
